Chess books that are an easy read compared to those on the endgame or the middlegame. Game collections cover games played at a specific tournament, a specific player, or in a certain opening. Most books reviewed below are very good. I never bought books I heard bad things about. They all feature rich annotations by strong players and will help you get into the mind of a Grandmaster. When someone says you need to study the classics, this is what they mean. Instead of analyzing games on your own, you can do it alongside a strong coach or author, thus gaining an insight into how strong players think.
