The most complex category when it comes to chess training and chess books. There have been many books written on chess strategy, and I have tried to include and read as many as I could. They range from classical works by soviet masters to books written a few months ago by modern Grandmasters.
The distinction between strategy and positional play may be slightly uncommon: strategy refers to piece plan, planning, and long-term thinking, while positional play mostly refers to pawn structures and pawn play. In other places, and in many books, those two are intertwined and often there’s no difference between them.
