I've read it maybe too early in my chess journey but apart from the initial struggle, since It was my first serious chess book, it was super instructive with long and clear annotation(The author is known for that). It offers a great range of themes providing an excellent grounding that will help you correctly calibrate your compass during the middlegame of your matches

Extremely instructive. Everyone should know the author John Nunn, one of the best authors ever, the book has clean annotations and explains middlegame ideas very well
