My 60 Memorable Games

One of the most important books of chess history.

Bobby Fischer is one of the best, as well as one of the most mysterious, chess players ever.

In this book, annotated by the legend himself, are 60 of his most memorable games, prior to his world championship match against Boris Spassky in 1972.

This may not be the right pick for a beginner, as the content isn't easy, despite being obviously fascinating and useful.

A must-read for every chess lover above 1500-1600 FIDE.

The games of are enormous practical quality, and it's a fun read, however Evans' desire to please Fischer makes the style of annotation not very helpful. At times there are no explanations nor variations, while other times, such as in the Botvinnik game, the analysis goes on and on in useless tangents, for something like 3 pages, only to give an incorrect evaluation!

a little bit difficult for beginne to understand, and then the italian version is written really with small characters, not easy to read, at 61 !!

my copy is the 1969 first printing by simon and schuster! excellent book. i made it to the school chess team when i read this.
