How difficult it is to read the book without using a board. A book with 10/10 readability is a bedtime story, a book with 1/10 is a puzzle book full of variations. Readability doesn’t represent the quality of the book.

Jovanka likes the Botvinnik-Carls against the Advance Caro-Kann. Here is a position from a 3…c5 game I found fascinating. Eric Merrill had black against Yakovlyev in 2023. This typical Botvinnik-Carls endgame position with a pawn on e5 was reached on move 33 for white. White played Rfxd3?? which is a bad tactical blunder as it just loses a full rook. Evaluate the position before he blundered.
